Week Seven: Prepare the Way for Messiah's return!, May 21-27 (alt. May 23-29)

Day forty-nine, beginning sundown, May 27 (alt. May 29)

1. Recite the blessing

Baruch atah Adonai Elohenu melech ha-olam, asher kid'shanu b'mitzvotav vitzivanu al sefirat ha-Omer.

Blessed are you O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has sanctified us by his commandments and commanded us concerning the count of the Omer.

Today is day forty-nine, which is seven weeks of the Omer!

2. Prayer for the day: Thanksgiving for the promise of Messiah's return: Matthew 24:30-31

"Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see ‘the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven’ with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."

3. Put aside a dollar for the Shavuot offering to be shared with the Messianic Jewish community in Israel.
