Shomer Yisrael: Advocacy for the Jewish people, the Jewish state, and the Jewish Messiah.
July 19-22, 2012

Behold, the Guardian of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps! (Ps. 121:4)

Scripture employs the image of the eagle to express the Lord's watchfulness and care for his people Israel, beginning with the redemption from Egypt:

"You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself." (Ex. 19:4)

The Lord’s own portion was his people, Jacob his allotted share. He sustained him in a desert land, in a howling wilderness waste; he shielded him, cared for him, guarded him as the apple of his eye. As an eagle stirs up its nest, and hovers over its young; as it spreads its wings, takes them up, and bears them aloft on its pinions, the LORD alone guided him; no foreign god was with him. (Dt. 32:9-12)

The Lord continues to watch over his people in our day, and beckons those who serve him to do so as well. This year's UMJC conference is dedicated to equipping advocates who will stand with the land and people of Israel during this critical time, and with Yeshua as Messiah through it all.

Location: Turf Valley Resort, Ellicott City, MD. www.turfvalley.com, 1-888-833-8873, or make your reservation online and use group code 27R3OK

Conference program and teaching will focus on the following:

  1. Advocacy for the Jewish people. To counter resurgent replacement theology and provide a biblical foundation for a continuing, Torah-based Jewish identity. Classes establishing the ongoing election of the Jewish people and the validity of their way of life. Classes equipping participants to be advocates and activists for the Jewish people.

  2. Advocacy for the Jewish state. To counter the growing support for anti-Zionism and the de-legitimization of the State of Israel, demonstrating the biblical, ethical, historical basis for Zionism and what is right about the state of Israel today. Classes equipping participants to be advocates and activists for Israel as the Jewish state.

  3. Advocacy for the Jewish Messiah. Political and theological advocacy is rooted in our loyalty to Yeshua as the Messiah of Israel. Classes will include apologetics and a review of resources, to equip participants to be advocates and activists for Yeshua as Messiah among our Jewish people.

Saturday Night for Israel: Keynote speaker Mati Shoshani of Jerusalem Institute of Justice, and Israeli worship leaders Marc and Eli Chopinsky, will inspire us to greater action in support of the modern state of Israel and the Jewish people worldwide in these last days as a testimony of God’s faithfulness to the nations.
