Get ready for two great classes coming this summer... at the annual UMJC Conference!
Offered by RO'I, the Rabbinical Ordination Institute of MJTI, these classes are open to anyone with a serious interest in Messianic Judaism. They also are available for credit for the UMJC Madrikh licensure program. For Madrikh requirements and an application, click here.
RO'I 405 - History of Judaism and the Jewish People
Instructor: Jamie Cowen Thursday, Friday, Saturday, July 23-25 (During the conference)
God's intervention in human history did not end with the close of the New Testament. Rather, He remains active to this day. As we explore the history of the Jewish people, we will see God's hand in dramatic ways, such as the reestablishment of the nation of Israel, and in quiet ways, such as the converso Christopher Columbus ushering in safe passage to the Americas for ultimately millions of Jews, hundreds of years later. Join us for the thrilling spiritual journey of ROI's Jewish history course.
RO'I 401 - Congregational Growth and Development
Instructors: Rich Nichol and Howard Silverman Sunday, Monday, July 26 - 27 (Immediately after the conference)
Calling all rabbis, cantors, elders, administrators, Shabbat school directors and teachers, musical directors and synagogue officers!
This course exposes congregational leaders and those who work with them to practical strategies for developing significant Messianic Jewish synagogues which grow numerically, financially and in impact on the Jewish and Christian communities. It addresses issues such as strategic planning, interpersonal relationships, personal development of each member's abilities, and kiruv (outreach).
RO'I courses include 16-20 hours of intensive instruction time and normally cost $225 each. To register for the classes, follow the conference registration link below. You will be given the option of registering for a special conference discount with one or both classes, or taking the classes without attending the conference.
