On May 2, delegates to the general assembly of the United Methodist Church, meeting in Tampa, Florida, rejected proposal to withdraw church investments from three companies doing business with Israel. The UMJC had joined with the IMJA (International Messianic Jewish Alliance), MJAA (Messianic Jewish Alliance of America), and IAMCS (International Alliance of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues), to issue a strongly-worded warning against this proposal to the United Methodist Church. The statement gained wide circulation on the web and can be read here: http://imja.org/address-to-umc/.
