Honoring the Truth Teller  

(Beseder's note: Which is more important?  To be loyal to people (no matter what they are doing)  or to be truthful with them and risk them thinking you are not loyal?   This article is written for the wider body of believers but very edifying for every person who struggles at times about how best to show love and support to others.)

"Loyalty and truthfulness are two covenant values that must be held in tension against one another. Loyalty binds us together. The truth sets us free. If one value is emphasized over the other, then serious problems develop and both values will become distorted."

 

 

 

 

Messiah like Joseph and Moses 

"Interestingly, the lives of two prominent Hebrews closely fit such a pattern ...Joseph was rejected by his brothers, the sons of Israel. As a result of this rejection, he was separated from them for many years. When they saw him again, the sons of Israel did not initially recognize him as one of their own, but rather as merely a gentile ruler. And the one whom they had rejected became their savior in the end, making provision for the entire house of Israel during a time of great famine...."
