In Loving Memory of Rabbi Tony Eaton

It is with great sadness that we share the news that our dear friend and colleague Rabbi Tony Eaton passed away peacefully at home of a sudden heart attack on the evening of May 5, 2026.

Rabbi Tony served as the Congregational Leader of Simchat Yisrael in West Haven, CT, from 1991-2021, and as Rabbi Emeritus from 2021 until his passing.

As a leader within the broader Messianic Jewish movement, Rabbi Tony served on the UMJC Executive Committee as Treasurer, as UMJC Northeast Regional Director, and as a mentor and guide chairing the UMJC’s K20 Committee (now part of the Kadima Fund).

As a community and as individuals we will greatly miss Rabbi Tony, an essential and irreplaceable part of our lives for many years.

The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away.
