Prayer Update Passover 5786

As Passover approaches (starting the evening of April 1) warfare in the Middle East and antisemitism worldwide continue to flare. These prayer points call for our attention:

• Wisdom, guidance, and protection over the military forces of Israel and the United States in the current conflict with Iran and its proxies.

• For all plans of retaliation against Israel, moderate Arab states, the USA and the West to fail, and for Iran and its proxy regimes to collapse. For many within their ranks to see the futility and wickedness of their hatred of Israel and their allies and to turn away from it and drop their arms.

• For mercy and minimal harm upon civilians on all sides, and a growing awareness and turning toward the one true God among them all.

• Protection and empowerment for Jesus communities throughout the Middle East, especially for the underground Christians of Iran.

• Reversal of the rising tide of antisemitism around the world. For the destruction of the demonic forces of hatred directed at the Jewish people. 

• Dismantling of the web of antisemitic propaganda online and in other media. We recognize the hand of the deceiver in the information war and pray for its rapid defeat.

God’s promise of deliverance to Abraham (Genesis 15:13-14) has sustained our ancestors and us as well, for it was not one enemy alone who has risen up against us to destroy us; in every generation there are those who rise up against us and seek to destroy us. But the Holy One, blessed be he, saves us from their hands. And let us say, Amen.
